The Ark Brothers' Turkish Film Premieres in Tabriz

Soyuq (Coldness)

The film "Soyuq" (Cold) has won several prestigious awards at Iran’s Childrens' Film Festival.

The Turkish-language film "Cold," directed by Bahram and Behman Ark, and winner of several awards at Iran's Children’s Film Festival, was screened for free on February 2 at the 22 Bahman-Naji Cinema in Tabriz.

Local newspapers and news agencies in Iran reported on the film’s screening.

The Ark brothers won the Best Director award at Iran's Children's Film Festival for their film Cold.

Local newspapers presented "Cold," a 86-minute film, as the first feature film made in Azerbaijani Turkish for children in Iran. The film tells the story of a schoolchild under stress due to his family’s poverty.

According to the semi-official Mehr news agency, "Cold," which was filmed in Tabriz, received the Special Jury Award at Iran’s Children’s Film Festival, as well as awards for Best Director and Best Actress in a Leading Role (Nasrin Moradi).

Nasrin Muradi won the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

The screening of "Cold" in Tabriz also attracted significant attention from Southern [Azerbaijani] users on social media.
