Voice of America, April 11, 2017

An exhibition titled "Turkish Tales" has opened in Urmia, the center of West Azerbaijan Province, in collaboration with the Art Department of the Islamic Propagation Organization.

According to Iran’s official state agency, IRNA, the exhibition features works by 16 female artists, including painters and cartoonists from West Azerbaijan Province. The showcased works illustrate Turkish proverbs and traditional sayings commonly used by the local population, all presented in the form of cartoons.

A poster published on the Art Department’s website indicates that the exhibition will be available to view until April 15.

The artwork on display was created during workshop activities organized by the Art Department of the Islamic Propagation Organization in January. These workshops were led by artists Munira Kurdistani, Mina Jalali Farahani, and Shayda Fallahi.
