According to Memmed Ansari, groups belonging to the "South Azerbaijan National Movement" are unable to benefit from the skills and experiences of specialist forces abroad.

In an interview with Voice of America in Berlin, Germany, the composer says that specialist networks should be created within the national movement.

"Our movement, like other social-political movements, should have specialists. But in the current situation, there is a blockage... Our visible activity up to this point has mainly been about exposing policies. There is very little guidance," Ansari says.

He emphasizes that the shortcomings cannot be resolved with general slogans:

"Iran’s centralist government is carrying out cultural genocide. We know this, and of course, we must always speak about it. But if we just stop at this, how can we bring a solution to it? It won’t work with general slogans."

The scholar-musician sadly notes that the activities have been based on exposing policies or general slogans and emotional statements:

"Things like independence, or federalism, and similar matters. Of course, it is important to bring these issues to the forefront and discuss them, but how do we break out of this stagnation and bring a new narrative to this movement? This can be achieved through the activity of specialists."

Memmed Ansari expresses the need for specialist networks within the national movement:

"Networks must be formed so that experts can unite. Without roles like leaders or deputies. Experience shows that in this century, ancient paths and organizations are not as effective. Two people can be a network. If two people take a topic and work on it until it reaches a result, that would be a network. The important thing is that these networks know each other."

He draws attention to the fact that organizations involved in the national movement abroad do not give space to specialists: "When we establish an organization, we sit on it for years. We start ignoring experts. We cannot change positions... We cover up the work of those who do the work."

Memmed Ansari adds, "We must understand that micro-steps are what can bring us to macro-goals. That means we need to be open to people’s ideas. We need to be open to their activities."

In Ansari's opinion, the lack of a culture of criticism prevents quality work from being highlighted:

"Things like ‘let’s not speak, everyone should just do their own work, everyone is an asset’ don’t work. Every task should be evaluated in its place. If it is not being done properly and democratically, it should be criticized. Even a democratically done job should be criticized. Without criticism, we cannot achieve good results. In 25 years, I can say that as a foreign branch of the movement, we are experiencing a period of stagnation."
