In recent weeks, discussions have been taking place between the officials of East Azerbaijan Province and the owner of Tractor Club, Mohammad Reza Zonouzi, regarding the transfer of the club.

According to Fars News Agency, businessman Zonouzi is demanding broadcasting rights for the club, copyright laws, and the airing of Tractor’s matches on national channels, particularly Channel 3.

According to this report, the club owner's demands are not new, and Zonouzi has previously raised these demands.

Mohammad Reza Zonouzi's demands were discussed in talks with provincial officials, including the late Deputy Governor of East Azerbaijan, Malik Rahmatin, and Turab Mohammadi. However, the negotiations ended without results, as the demands were outside the authority of provincial officials.

“The radio and television discrimination and the broadcasting of the games of the two capital teams [Esteghlal and Persepolis] on national channels make it impossible to compete with these teams,” Zonouzi stated.

The negotiations ended without results due to the provincial officials’ lack of authority to address the demands. As a result, Zonouzi insists on transferring the team and the club.
