Lachin Group Brings the Musical Play The Sound of the Clock to the Stage in Tabriz

Iranian news agencies report that the Turkish-language musical play The Sound of the Clock was performed by the Lachin music group on August 16 and 17 at the Iqbal Azar Hall in Tabriz.

The event’s Facebook page listed the play’s full title as "The Sound of the Clock, the Deep Echoes of an Ancient City."

According to Aria Torkanbouri, the leader of the Lachin group, who spoke to IRNA news agency, singers Farhad Sultani and Ehsan Abdi performed poems by the late poet Imran Salahi, accompanied by a choir.

The group’s musicians played various instruments, including the clarinet, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, percussion, setar, balaban, tar, violin, fiddle, cello, and trumpet.

The musical play was directed by Mehdi Laziri.
