The "Kəndimiz Vəqfi" (Our Village Foundation), established by Turkish activists, donates hundreds of Turkish-language books to a different village in Iranian Azerbaijan every month.
Previously distributing books across various provinces, the foundation recently gifted 210 volumes of Turkish books to a village in the Qara-Ziyaeddin region of West Azerbaijan.
According to a list published on the foundation's Telegram channel, the donated books include works on history, identity, poetry, stories, and children’s literature.
The foundation operates under the leadership of renowned Turkish language rights activist Alireza Farshi, collecting donations in the form of books and monetary contributions.
Some of the donated books are gifted by their authors to the foundation, such as The Status of Turkish in Iran and the Crisis of Identity by writer and cultural activist Hasan Rashidi.

Alireza Farshi has been subjected to repeated arrests, dismissals from work, and other pressures due to his advocacy for language rights.
In a statement released on International Mother Language Day last February, Amnesty International described Mr. Farshi as follows:
"He is courageous. He organizes campaigns to ensure the rights of minorities are upheld."
